There are more than 25 static and flying aircraft in this hands-on facility, from a WWII Handley Page Hampden to, a T-33 Silverstar.         Restoration work is regularly carried out by volunteers determined to get as many of the craft as possible airborne. The museum's Millennium Kids Room offers children the chance to learn how an aircraft flies and what makes and engine work - all by touch and feel. So many of the aircraft can be touched, you can experience the different construction materials used, including wood, aluminium and fabric. So take a flight through time from WWI to the present day.
