What are the benefits of See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card?

With your Smartvisit Card you will receive great savings and value whether traveling alone or with your family and friends. It offers free admission to over 50 attractions in Vancouver, Victoria and the surrounding areas. It will also help you with your trip planning and will ensure that you get to see and do all the best things available.

Who is the See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Card for?

Anyone who visits Vancouver or Victoria will benefit from the See Vancouver & Beyond Smartvisit Card. There is something for everyone. It is perfect for first time visitors, return visitors or locals who have not been to the local attractions for a while. It includes all the major attractions, plus the lesser known ones.

Does the Smartvisit Card come with a guidebook?

Yes. You will receive for FREE Smartvisit Guide with your purchase. You will find information on all the participating attractions in Vancouver, Victoria, Squamish and the Fraser Valley - plus maps and local tips.

Is there a Smartvisit Card for children?

Yes. Available for children aged between 4 and 15. For under 4s, no card is necessary. Children who are 16 or older will need an adult card.

Do you have a family card?

No. There is currently no family card available and each member of your party will require their own card. This offers you the flexibility to visit attractions as a whole group, or to split up and discover your favourite attractions. The savings are substantial for each card holder, so it’s a great deal. We do offer discounts on group bookings. See our Specials Page.

How long is the card valid for?

See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card is available for two, three and five days. Cards are valid for consecutive calendar days, and are only activated at the first attraction that you visit.

Do I have to use it for consecutive days?

Yes. The See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card is valid for consecutive calendar days. If you purchase a 3 day Smartvisit Card and you start to use it on Tuesday, it will be valid for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of that week.

What time does it run out?

Your See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card is valid for calendar days, not for 24 hour periods. It will run out on the final day of validity. If you purchase a two day card and start to use if on Wednesday, it will be valid for Wednesday and Thursday.

Does the card need to be signed?

Yes. All cardholders need to sign the card – both adults and children. For security purposes we recommend that you sign the card as soon as you receive it. Please note that once signed, no refunds or exchanged can be made.

  Attractions

Is ID needed at the attraction?

No. Your See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card is all you need to gain access to the attraction. You will be asked to sign the back of your card before you start to use it. Once you reach your chosen attractions, simply present your card at the admissions point.

Does the Smartvisit Card include all of Vancouver’s attractions?

The See Vancouver & Beyond Smartvisit Card offers free entry to 40 of the best attractions in Vancouver and surrounding areas. Capilano Suspension Bridge Vancouver Aquarium, Vancouver Lookout, Vancouver Harbour Cruise, Science World, Craigdarroch Castle, Pacific Undersea Gardens are some of the attractions included. How much is the public entry fee to each of the attractions?
Attraction fees vary from $4 to $95 if you were to visit them without a See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card. To see how easily you can save by visiting just two attractions per day, click here.

Are there any evening activities?

Yes. The See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card is valid at the IMAX® at Canada Place which shows films late into the evening. In addition, some attractions stay open late. Attractions such as Vancouver Lookout at Harbour Centre Tower, Vancouver Art Gallery and Vancouver museum stay open late on select days throughout the year, with many more operating extended opening hours in the summer months.

Are the attractions open year round?

Some attractions are open during the summer months only. Opening times are marked within the guidebook and on the individual attractions pages of this website. For a list of attractions that operate in the winter click here.

Please note that many of the operators in Victoria are closed in the winter. To get maximum value for your card in winter, we recommend that you combine your trip to Victoria with sightseeing in Vancouver. If you’re looking to spend just a day in Victoria, 1-Day See Vancouver Cards are available for purchase at the Bay Centre Mall. Contact us at 604-295-1157 for more details.

Are Victoria attractions included?

Yes! Victoria has a whole section of the guidebook dedicated to it. There are 18 attractions and activities included in Victoria and Duncan on Vancouver Island. The See Vancouver & Beyond Smartvisit Card offers great value for people visiting just Victoria in the summer as well as those visiting Victoria as part of their Vancouver stay.

Please note that many of the operators in Victoria are closed in the winter. So to get maximum value out of the See Vancouver & Beyond Card, consider combining your trip to Victoria with sightseeing in Vancouver. Otherwise, contact us at 604-295-1157 so we can direct you to where you can purchase a 1-Day card in Victoria.

How do I get from attraction to attraction?

Most attractions in downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria are within comfortable walking distance of each other. Your guidebook also contains information on how best to get around using the efficient public transit network. It gives you tips on how and where to buy your transit tickets, as well as the network maps. For Vancouver and Victoria, your card offers 3 hours free bicycle rental, and with both cities being very cycle friendly, we would recommend this is a fun way to get around. Visitors to Squamish and the Fraser Valley will require access to a car to make the most of their sightseeing experience in these regions.

Do I need a car to get around?

No. Most attractions in downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria are within comfortable walking distance of each other, and the public transit network is very efficient. Visitors to Squamish, the Fraser Valley and Duncan will require access to a car to make the most of their sightseeing experience in these regions. If you have your car with you, you there is also a special offer on downtown parking in Vancouver. For those without a car, your guidebook contains information on how best to get around using public transit.

Is public transit included?

No. However, your guidebook gives you helpful information on the public transit network in Vancouver, and also ideas on how to travel between Vancouver and Victoria.

Is transit between Vancouver and Victoria included?

No. However your guidebook will highlight the exciting options available for travel between the two cities.

Do I need a separate Smartvisit Card for Victoria and Vancouver?

No. One card will be valid for the attractions and activities in both cities. You may wish to consider a longer duration card if you are visiting both Victoria and Vancouver.

Do I have to pre-book for any tours?

Due to limited availability on some tours and experiences, we do recommend that you call ahead to reserve your place and we have noted these in your guidebook and on this web site.

Can I book in advance for any tours?

Most of the attractions and experiences do not need to be booked in advance. However, if you would like to reserve you place on certain tours and activities, you can. Phone numbers and booking procedures can be found in your guidebook and on this web site.

Are there any special conditions for the any of the activities?

Yes. In addition to the 50+ attractions included with your Smartvisit Card, there are 2 extra experiences which offer cardholders a great discount which will require supplemental payment. These are: Vancouver Harbour Cruises Indian Arm Luncheon, and Orca Spirit Adventure Whale Watching or Marine Wildlife Tour. Special booking instructions can be found in your guidebook or on the relevant page of this website. Bookings are essential for all of these activities.

Yes. See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card’s are an excellent gift for friends and relatives. When they start using their cards, they can simply sign and date the reverse. Cards are activated at the first attraction visited.

Can I purchase the See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card when I arrive in British Columbia?

Yes. Whilst purchasing in advance can help with your itinerary planning, and you will have access to special online deals, the See Vancouver, Victoria & Beyond Smartvisit Card is available from several retailers in Vancouver. Can I upgrade my card to a 5-day card if I bought a 3-day card and really liked it?

If you have already started to use your card, and you wish to extend your stay, you will need to purchase a new card. If you wish to upgrade your card to a longer duration prior to use, you can by visiting one of our retail locations in Vancouver.
We have 4 children under 9 and the Smartvisit cards were brilliant. With such a large family we were able to budget easier for our visit and visit more places. June - Australia
